A team from OmniSource Marketing chalked up a big win with the Cummins – Jamestown Engine Plant (JEP) in western New York. Every year, the Cummins Engine Plant does a uniform program for their employees and this year we were the supplier. Earlier this week, we launched the pop-up uniform shop that outfitted 1,137 JEP associates with five garments each, through their Uniform Shirt Program. Our order totaled about $90,000 in new business.

The program is challenging to execute. We won the chance to fix a struggling pilot program that never left Jamestown, to go to other Cummins plants—because two previous suppliers failed to deliver uniform shirts, bagged by employee and boxed by team, on-time, with accuracy. Team OmniSource answered these challenges by working together—listening to the client, understanding their sticky points and writing good processes to achieve flawless execution. Next, we fielded an outstanding, on-site service team, to manage uniform selection and online ordering. In the coming weeks, we will source the garments, decorate them, then bring them to our new decorator in Carmel who will pick-and-pack the garments to be bagged by employee, boxed by team/supervisor and shipped back to JEP for distribution in 4 weeks.

Our team turned the program around and won the confidence of JEP leadership. Upon leaving the plant, Janie got a hug from their Human Resources Director and a handshake from the plant president!

A big thank you to the team who accompanied Janie there—driving to and from western New York; carting a van full of garments and supplies—and working twelve hour days to cover all plant shifts, often eating cold meals out of to-go boxes, while getting barely six hours of sleep each night.

Our Cummins JEP Uniform Shirt Program Pop-Up Store team included Janie, Michael, Kim, May, Rachel, Eric, April, Kendal and Dave.

In the last Month, Julia (and team) has closed orders with clients for items going to Super Bowl 51 in Houston TX, The 2017 NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans, LA and the 2017 NFL Pro Bowl in Orlando Florida and products for Promotional Events with NBA Hall of Famer Alonzo Mourning, NFL Pro-Bowler J.J. Watt and the MTN DEW NASCAR Team. Following up recent orders of Umbrellas for PBV featuring the NFL Carolina Panthers, the NHL Carolina Canes and MLB Chicago White Sox Triple-A Affiliate Charlotte Knights with artwork sent directly to us from the TOP FIVE MAJOR SPORTS LEAGUES in the country in terms of viewership, income and Google searches.

Julia also held high-level meetings in Texas with Gatorade National, PepsiCo Plano and Frito Lay Corporate Headquarters this week. Getting a wealth of knowledge about FLs corporate purchasing system and opening a $100K+ project for the Frito Lay Fleet of OTR Drivers!

All this while still booking sales in excess of $1M over a 3 month span with no signs of slowing down and keeping close to our moderated expectation/personal goal of $300K per month for calendar year 2017.

Talk about big picture! OmniSource products in sports venues all over the nation.

A thank you to Theresa Moore...

For the first time ever, a Frito-Lay page was included in the SodaGear catalog and Frito-Lay products are actively being added to our website. We owe this to Theresa Moore, our contact at PepsiCo, who told Frito-Lay that they had to work with us!

We are excited to expand our relationships with this subsidiary of PepsiCo.
